Gradually, my hair started growing again!

I was concerned that my hair was becoming thinner and thinner over the years. I heard that acupuncture is known to be effective for thinning hair, so I came to Dr. Nishimura for consultation. Dr. Nishimura made an assessment and told me that along with scalp acupuncture, improving my overall physical condition with acupuncture & herbal medicine would help me regain hair.

After each session, I felt my body more relaxed and energetic; my eyes got brighter, and I felt like I had grown taller. After 3 failed IVF cycles, I sought out several acupuncturists and when I met Dr. Nishimura my search was over.  “I will do my job to bring out the best result, let’s not give up,” her words encouraged me to try again, and she has been true to her words.

A typical session at Gentle Acupuncture starts with a “how are you?” - evaluating your appetite, sleep cycle, and bowel movement for the past week and expressing any of your concerns. Then Dr. Nishimura diagnoses the area to work on with her hands and uses a gentle approach (hence her clinic name). She does not use extreme methods but treats the body with minimal force and pressure. The combination of needle and heat (moxibustion) therapy is catered to an individual's needs. The weekly 90-minute session was something I looked forward to resetting my body for the week.

Dr. Nishimura also provided me with nutrition and exercise materials and straightforward advice to improve my lifestyle for IVF and my general well-being. She treated my goal as her own and accommodated the unpredictable egg retrievals and transfer schedule to treat me at ideal times. She was there to provide her best through my ups and downs between cycles. I am thankful for Dr. Nishimura’s strength, knowledge, and flexibility, which allowed me to feel I have done everything possible to complete each cycle.

3回の体外受精が妊娠に至らず、不妊治療を続けるか迷っていた時に西村先生に出会いました。「私は自分のやれるだけの仕事をこなすので頑張りましょう」という先生の言葉が私の次の体外受精へ向けての勇気となりました。

先生の治療は、体調の診断から始まります。睡眠、食欲、お通じ、気になるところの聴取の後、実際に身体に触れながら身体の状況にあわせて治療を行ないます。診療所の名前である「gentle＝やさしい」という言葉のとおり先生の治療は負担が少なく、やさしく包まれたような鍼灸治療です。治療のたびに身体がリセットされる感じは心地よく、毎週楽しみにしている自分がいました。

I came to Masayo’s clinic to improve my chronic shoulder and back stiffness and my circulation problems. Since Masayo spent enough time on consultation and explained to me the details of the procedure with acupuncture points, I was at ease to receive her treatment. my persistent back pain suddenly disappeared

I decided to try acupuncture for the first time for chronic back pain. I’ve tried EVERYTHING – including massage – but nothing worked. I’ve had “Cosmetic Acupuncture” before in other places, but I’ve never felt any improvement. This time was totally different! my long-term shoulder and back pain disappeared

Right after I received Masayo's acupuncture treatment, my long-term shoulder and back pain disappeared as if I had put my heavy luggage down on the ground. A few days later and I still feel lightness in my shoulder and my whole body.

The facial acupuncture treatment was amazing! Immediately after the session, I could tell that my sagging cheeks were lifted and shapely. My tired eyelids are so refreshed, so my eyes look much bigger. The pores on my face became less noticeable, and my whole face toned up. My skin is glowing and feels so much smoother. My asymmetric eyelids became almost symmetrical after the session!

After the 60-minute session with Masayo, my eye strain and the tightness in my eye muscles disappeared. I noticed that my eyes look bigger because the swelling in that area has reduced. I immediately noticed that my face line became slimmer

My very first experience with acupuncture was facial “cosmetic” acupuncture with Masayo. At first, I was worried the needles would be painful, but surprisingly I didn’t feel any pain though the session. I was also amazed by the efficacy of the meridian system of acupuncture. When Masayo was needling on my arm - which she said was one of the large intestine points, suddenly my belly started making noise. It was very interesting.

I was nervous about my very first experience with acupuncture. But I didn’t feel any pain at all and was very relaxed during the treatment. Returning home, I was still totally relaxed and slept very well that night. Although I still have some pain in my shoulder, I will keep coming back here to continue treatments. Thanks to Masayo, I don’t fear the needle insertion anymore.

I was referred to Masayo by a friend for my menopause, night sweat, shoulder and neck pain. Being very sensitive person, at first I was afraid of needle insertion. But she used the Japanese technique which was very gentle and surprisingly painless. I still hate needles, but somehow Masayo’s technique was so natural and comforting that I forget all about them. She was knowledgeable, professional, and very attentive. Within 3 visits, I felt so much better and less stressed after each session. Highly recommend this office.
